About the Water Department
The East Bank's four water plants purification complex is located at 3600 Jefferson Highway. These plants were constructed in 1951, 1955, 1965 and 1969, respectively. The West Bank's two water plants purification complex is located at 4500 Westbank Expressway in Marrero. The two plants were constructed in 1958 and 1971, respectively. Present rated production capacity for the East Bank is 87 million gallons per day and the rated production capacity for the West Bank complex is 61 million gallons per day.
The Jefferson Parish distribution system contains approximately 1,787 miles of water mains, 23,732 valves and 16,407 hydrants.

If you live on the East Bank, customers pay a Lafreniere Park fee. If you live on the West Bank, customers pay a recreation fee for the various playgrounds on the west bank. 5. How do I report a water leak? To report a water leak, contact us at (504) 736-6060 between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. For East Bank after hours, call (504) 838-4363. For West Bank after hours, call (504) 349-5081.
6. How can I pay my utility bill? Bills can be paid online at PayJeffParish.com. We also offer a no-wait automated account info and payment by calling (504) 736-6060 and pressing #1 after the prompt. A call-back feature is also available so residents don’t have to wait on the line. If you select the call-back option, your place in the queue will be held and a customer service representative will call you back the same day.
