BOIL WATER ADVISORY LIFTED FOR CROWN POINT,
TOWN OF JEAN LAFITTE, LOWER LAFITTE AND BARATARIA

JEFFERSON, LA – In conjunction with the Louisiana Department of Health, the Jefferson Parish Water Department is lifting the Boil Water Advisory on March 2, 2023 for the areas of Crown Point, Town of Jean Lafitte, Lower Lafitte, and Barataria on the West Bank of Jefferson Parish.

This is lifted based on the analysis of the bacteriological samples collected within the distribution system on March 1, 2023. Customers in the affected area may now use the water without boiling or disinfecting. No more precautionary actions are necessary.
