BOIL WATER ADVISORY LIFTED FOR PRIVATEER SIDE OF BARATARIA

JEFFERSON, LA – In conjunction with the Louisiana Department of Health, the Jefferson Parish Water Department has lifted the boil water advisory for the Privateer side of Barataria based on an analysis of the bacteriological samples collected within the distribution system on July 8, 2024.

Customers in this affected area may now use the water without boiling or disinfecting. No more precautionary actions are necessary.

Grand Isle remains under a boil water advisory at this time.
