ROAD CLOSURE
MANHATTAN BOULEVARD

JEFFERSON, LA – The following road closures will take place on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 and Wednesday, May 24, 2023 as part of the $1.85 million project to widen Manhattan Boulevard:

Tuesday, May 23:

• Single lane closures of northbound Manhattan Boulevard at Gretna Boulevard from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Motorists will merge to the available lanes.
• Complete 10-15 minute shutdown of northbound Manhattan Boulevard at Gretna Boulevard beginning at 1:30 p.m. A message board at Lapalco Boulevard will warn drivers of the closure and provide an opportunity to turn around.

Wednesday, May 24:

• Single lane closures of northbound Manhattan Boulevard at the entrance of Target from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Motorists will merge to the available lanes.
• Complete 10-15 minute shutdown of northbound Manhattan Boulevard at the entrance of Target beginning at 1:30 p.m. A message board at Lapalco Boulevard will warn drivers of the closure and provide an opportunity to turn around.

These closures are necessary to install traffic signal poles and mast arms. All work is scheduled to be completed by Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at 4 p.m., weather permitting.
